A mixed-size job lot of 9 genuine UNION Pattern 2237 three-lever mortice sashlocks, manufactured in England by Josiah Parkes & Sons Limited.

The job lot contains six 2½-inch locks and three 3-inch locks. These measurements refer to the approximate case depth, measured from the front faceplate to the back of the lock body.

Each lock is supplied with its own pair of keys. Every pair of keys is individually matched to its corresponding lock and will not operate any of the other locks in the job lot.

Lock Sizes

The case depth is measured from the front edge of the lock faceplate, where the latch and deadbolt emerge, to the rear of the lock case.

Individually Keyed Locks

Each lock has its own individual key combination and is supplied with a dedicated pair of matching keys. The keys are not interchangeable between the locks.

For example, the two keys supplied with one lock will operate only that particular lock and will not operate any of the other eight locks.

What Is a Mortice Sashlock?

A mortice sashlock combines a spring-operated latch and a key-operated deadbolt within the same lock case. The latch is normally operated by a pair of door handles, while the deadbolt is locked and unlocked using the supplied mortice keys.
